Star Trails - From New Dark Site Area 63 in Big Cypress
20 second exposures, iso 1250 at f/2.5, sigma 15mm 180 fish-eye lens.
Last night we tested out Area 63 for the first time. The Park Service worked with us to help reduce the unnecessary lighting in the parking lot and I must it worked out well. We had a nice showing of 8-10 people and the skies were really dark! I can't wait to go back and take some deep space images from this spot next month.
The star trail image above was taken with my Nikon D5000, 20 second exposures, iso 1250 at f/2.5 using my sigma 15mm 180 fish-eye lens.
