Stunning View of the Partial Lunar Eclipse – September 2024
Tonight’s partial lunar eclipse offered a clear view of the moon as the Earth's shadow covered about 3% of its surface. While a small portion of the moon was affected, the gradual dimming provided a unique opportunity to observe this alignment. It was a subtle but interesting event, perfect for those who enjoy astronomy or simply watching the night sky.
For this event, I used my Nikon Z6II full-frame camera with a 200mm Nikkor zoom lens. The settings were ISO 100, shutter speed of 1/300 second, and an aperture of f/8. These settings allowed me to capture the details of the moon’s surface and the partial shadow with clarity. The result is a straightforward depiction of the lunar eclipse, with 3% of the moon covered by the Earth's shadow.
